In 2024, OPD was awarded the Luxury Lifestyle Awards for Best Luxury Sustainable Single Residence Architecture for their “Sunken Heaven Villa” in Pearl Jumeirah. This masterpiece exemplifies their dedication to luxury that respects nature.

The villa's innovative sunken garden provides natural cooling while enhancing the villa's energy efficiency, demonstrating OPD's ability to merge luxury with environmental responsibility.

The sunken garden acts as a climatic and social core of the project. By lowering the space into the ground, it creates natural shade, reduces heat gain, and captures cooler air. This design not only moderates the microclimate in Dubai's hot environment but also offers a private, intimate gathering space that connects architecture with landscape.
